This is the time of year lots is happening. Rifle hunting season is just about here and please remember the CWD problem is getting closer every year. A positive mule deer buck was harvested near highway 2, south east of Westlock. You can leave the deer head for testing at the UFA deepfreeze in Westlock.
The annual policy meeting is this Wednesday. October 29 at our usual place, The Godberson room by the rec Center in Barrhead at 700 PM.
The work at the range for upgrade changes as requested by the Chief Firearms Office of Alberta, was completed last week and we are awaiting their approval for our five year license extension. Please check out the new rule signs when you’re at the range.
The Elk hunter that was attacked by a Grizzly Bear a couple of weeks ago in B.C., has passed away from his injuries. These fatal attacks have happened before and will happen again. Be careful out there, as the grizzlies have been moving slowly east in Alberta and there seems to be more of them.
