A photo showing a forested area with two signs located at the entrance to the Barrhead Fish and Game Association shooting range. One sign reads Barrhead Fish & Game Association Gun Range, and lists that it allows rifles, revolvers, shotguns, and archery. The second sign lists the open hours for the range as being 8 am to 10 pm for Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 10 pm for Saturday and Sunday. This sign also states that using the range outside of those hours will not be tolerated and will result in a loss of membership.

Welcome to the Barrhead Fish & Game Association range. Our range property is open for the full year starting January 1st and consists of five separate ranges:

Range 1

Our first range is the long gun range and has Reactive and Backrest walls for paper targets set up at 200 yards from the two shooting benches. There are also Backrest walls set up at 100 yards and at 50 yards. The two benches are set up under a roof and have gun rests on the end of a work table.
IMPORTANT: While there is also a 300 yard bench that shoots past the 200 yard benches, this can only be used when the WHOLE RANGE is empty of people. Beyond this point the gate at the 300 yard bench is closed across the access road to our facilities at that time only.

Range 2

The second range is the handgun range and is set up with covered shooting stations with a covered work area. The range goes up to 50 yards and has Backrest walls set up for your targets. In this range you can only shoot from the shooting stations. In the summer the club meets here every Saturday morning for hand gun competitions. During law enforcement training sessions, this range will be shut down for a short period of time until their session is complete. On the west side of the shooting stations is a bench set up for rimfire only. This range is also a safe place for dads and family members alike to teach their upcoming marksmen and/or hunters how to safely handle a .22 rifle.

A photo of the handgun range. The picture shows eight covered stalls for firing handguns, and to the left of the handgun stalls there is a bench with a sign saying for rimfire only. Located behind the stalls and bench is a covered area with two picnic benches and a bench seated in between the two benches.

Range 3

This range is the trap shotgun area. During the summer the club meets here every Wednesday evening for a club competition. In this range there is also a manual clay thrower which can throw two clays at the same time. We also have a steel pattern board if you want to see how your shotgun is working.

A picture of the trap shotgun area. The picture shows a wide open area with at least five spots in a curved row for the shotgun users to stand when using their weapons, with a stand for someone else to sit located in the center of the five spots and behind them. There are also two picnic benches shown sitting behind where the shotgun users would stand. To the left is a shotgun pattering board with a sign saying 1. No steel shot, 2. No shot larger than #4, and 3. No slugs. There is also another sign for the patterning board, however it is not fully shown in the image.

Range 4

At this range is the 100 yard archery range located by the main gate. This range has three large round target stands, some 3D targets, and a set up table for your convenience.

To the left side shows the target range itself with fiberglass balls to attach targets to as well as targets that look like various animals scattered throughout the 100 yards.

Range 5

Our final range is the large 3D archery range, which stretches approximately a kilometer long and goes over a ridge. This range is fully enclosed by trees and has full size targets that range from coyotes to moose. This range can also be used as a hiking trail and is used as such by some of our members.

A photo of the entrance to the 3D archery range. The photo shows a forested area with a trail starting before curving out of sight. There is a sign saying "field tips only on 3D archery loop no broadheads" with no broadheads being in red text for emphasis. Further down the trail a sign saying "start" can be partially seen through the greenery.
