There will be a GUEST SPEAKER at our first monthly meeting of the season on September 30 in the Godberson room at 7:30 PM. ALBERTA FISH & WILDLIFE head biologist of wildlife dieases, Margo Pybus, will be speaking about CWD and MENINGEAL WORM problem growing here in Alberta . We will be looking at developing a partnership with the COUNTY OF BARRHEAD to address the problem locally. MEMBERS, please try to attend as your vote is important on what your club will be doing to assist in the program and also some other major issues.
Another wilflife problem is about an invasive species fish called the ROSY RED MINNOWS, more will be covered at the meeting.. It just gets better and better out in the wild.
The pre-hunting membership increase is in full swing, as hunters are sighting in their rifles. PLEASE NOTE, that there are some major changes in the hunting regulations for 2026, and it was well said that ignorance of the law is no excuse. Have fun out there. and enjoy the fall weather. I saw a flock of at least 300 ducks out in our harvested pea fields. Has to be northeners.
Good hunting—-Joe
