Archery season is upon us and it can be a difficult experience if you happen to drop a nice animal in this warm time of year. You should be prepared to have a place to cool off the carcass once it is gutted and skinned. More meat is ruined by the inexperienced hunter or it contributes to the so called wild taste that turn so many off to wild meat. Be ready, be lucky and enjoy.
Your range will have the west side closed on September 4, for training and some maintenance. The gate to that portion of the range will be closed for the day. The rifle and archery range will be open to the membership.
September 24 starts a new season of monthly meetings. We had a busy summer and it’s not over yet. Enjoy our autumn and the fall bird hunts. Have fun—Joe
