A LARGE BOAR BLACK BEAR has been making trouble in the community along the Paddle River just south west of Barrhead. He has been making his raids at night and has cleaned out one chicken coop. Too close to home. Got the rifle ready? The wild fruit supply is down because of the dry summer and the big boy is hungry. Be careful out there.
Handgun and trap competition is over for the season and a good time was held by all involved. The guys are still shooting except for the guys that are out bringing in the harvest.
HUNTERS—This is a good time to sight in your rifles before the last day rush. The 3-D archery range will be up for a few weeks yet before we bring in the targets for the winter. Enjoy your range and have a good one.—-Joe
