It’s that itme of year again that our handgun and trap guys and gals are trying out for the annual club trophies. This Saturday at 9:00 AM, the hand gun group are competing and next Saturday at 9:00 AM the trap group are doing their thing. Come out and see how good you are or think you are. Have fun everyone.
THUNDER LAKE is in a bit of trouble. The government bioligists just did a net survey of the Lake and the catch result was very poor. Winter kill is the main suspect. I spoke to some local people that fish there on a regular basis and they said that fishing wasn’t great but there seemed to be quite a number of fish on their fish finders. Blue algae has hit a number of lakes. LAKE NAKAMUN is especially hard hit and it is not recommended to eat any fish caught there. LAC ST. ANNE is another lake with the same problem
In Washington state, two young black bears were brought in alnost bald with mange. After treatment and recovery, the bears were released into the wild covered with woolen sweaters. One red and one blue. Reports on sightings and game camers show the sweaters haven’t worn off yet and its raised quite a fuss. The other side of the coin on bears happened in Vancouver where a three year old was attacked in her back yard. Thank god for a brave family dog that intervened. The child will survive.
