Your February meeting has been moved THIS ONE TIME ONLY, to tomorrow night , TUESDAY, February 24 at our usual place. All our regular monthly meetings will be held as usual on the last Wednesday of each month.
For those of you that winter use the gun range, we had a foot of snow removed off the roads there this morning. Please be sure to sign in, if you want us to keep the winter road clear. If the usage is not there, we just may wait till April to open up.
As the weather warms up a tad, ice fishing is sure to gets going. It’s up to you to determine how you wish to drive out onto the lakes. I’ve heard some different ice reports from various fisher people. It really depends on the lake. A snowmobile went thru the ice at Charlotte Lake drowning 2 people. What was strange about the ice, it was in good shape and over 6 inches thick. The RCMP recovery team could not make sense of why the ice broke as the ice refroze. It was a bit of time before the couple was found. Be careful out there.
