A Dangerous and Deadly Practice

Wild boar hunters in California have reported getting the animals with blue colored flesh. The blue comes from a dye mixed into an anti coagulant poison called Rodentticide Diphacinone. The dangerous part is that the poison can spread through any animals, such as Deer and Elk eating at the bait station and then also go to predators and scavengers. A good way to destroy the eco system. California Fish & Wildlife on a major hunt for the idiots responsible.

Alberta hunting rule changes may now allow night hunting for wild Boar under special circumstances as these animals seem to do most of their damage at night. Check with your Alberta Fish & Wildlife Officer to find out exactly how this is to be done. Otherwise, have a great summer.—-Joe
